The CNSAS (National Alpine Cliff and Cave Rescue Corps )

The CNSAS, operational division of the Italian Alpine Club, is a free  non-partisan, apolitical and non-profit organization constitued betweeen volunters guided by the principles of solidarity and mutual trust among members. Its task is to provide supervision and prevention of accidents in mountaineering, hiking and caving activities, evacuate the injured and unsafe and retrieve the fallen. It 's a national operative structure of the Italian Civil Defense System. The Italian Republic under Law no. 74 of 2001 recognized the value of social solidarity and public utility service that the CNSAS carries out daily.
